Chemical peeling is a procedure used to improve the texture of the skin by removing the damaged outer layer.  Chemical peeling is an in-office procedure.  After properly studying the skin type and skin problem the doctor decides the type of peeling agent to be used.  The peeling agent is applied over full face till the end point is achieved.

TYPES OF PEELS

 

Superficial or Lunchtime Peels:  These are the mild peels used to penetrate only the outer layer of skin.  They are useful for treating skin discolouration, rough skin, tanning, dilated pores, to tighten loose skin, under eye dark circles, skin brightening etc.

Medium Deep Peel:  These are the peels which penetrates the outer and middle layers of skin.  This treatment is useful for treating freckles, pigmentation, age spots, wrinkles, acne etc.

 

Deep Peel:  TCA or Phenol is applied to deeply penetrate the skin and it is useful for treating acne scars, severe acne problems, melasma etc.

 

Duration of procedure:  It takes 5 to 15 minutes per procedure.
